Goodson’s Travel Photos

One of our “busy” items over the last couple of months has been the recording of Travis’ song “Letters” after the interview and commercial for AFN which you can see here.
The radio station had requested that they be able to play his song on the air. So after several months of recording and rerecording in our living room (Charlie played bass, Justin played electric lead guitar, and Travis played acoustic guitar, drums and vocals)we went to the the radio station, was interviewed (all of us) and his song was debuted! So far it has had daily airplay as people call in to request the song. I hope to have a snipet of the finished song posted soon for you to hear (have to figure out how to do that first!)

When I started this blog site for family and friends so they could keep up to date on the happenings and travels of the Goodson household, I was so excited….. I tried to keep up with the postings of our travels in pictures. Life has a way of getting in the way- homeschooling my two teenage sons is my main focus and then add on to that every day activities, not to mention really slow to no internet connections at certain times during the day makes it a challenge.

I also have this “issue” (a friend, thanks Becky, so graciously pointed out in her blog) that I have this need to go “in order” of when we took the pictures…. I also have this need to fill in information about where we went and some history about the place (this takes research and much time)- so long story short- I haven’t kept up with my posting because I dreaded the research time that it takes to write about a certain area.

I have tried to rekindle the excitement in sharing our travels with whomever is interested in viewing them- I am going to rebel against myself and just continue to post them in random order (I do post the dates we went on the trip) so you might see some pics from last year pop up now and again. We have been blessed to have seen so many places during our short time here. I will also post where we went and if you want to do more research on your own, feel free (I encourage it!)

I have posted several different albums over the past couple of months (including the boys pictures of the mission trip to Czech Republic)- just haven’t written anything about them- so please continue to go to the photo page to see what has been updated.

I just added an album today of one of our many trips to Arcos. It is such a beautiful town. We went one Saturday morning in search of birthday gift for Charlie’s mom- we had a wonderful time just strolling through the streets looking for that “special gift”. As we have taken so many pics of Arcos on previous trips, these photos are mainly of our family in various places along the way.

It has snowed and rained on them most of their time there. I have spoken with both boys at different times and they are full of life and amazement at what God has shown them on this trip and what He has done through them.
They will be returning on Sunday afternoon, tired, but refreshed, at the same time. Hopefully, they were able to capture a few pictures.
