Puerto Sherry
One Sunday after church, we went with some friends for caliente chocolate and dessert. The hot chocolate here is wonderful (my opinion). It is served like soup, with a spoon. It is like someone has just melted a chocolate bar and poured it into a cup. The texture and taste is so different to that which we are accustomed to. If you are a chocolate lover, this is an absolutely wonderful experience for your taste buds. For others, it is a little too much chocolate. After our chocolate encounter, we went on to Puerto Sherry to see the light house. Our friends told us that in the summertime this boardwalk along the beach is packed with tourists. The restaurants and beaches are filled to capacity and scooters (mopeds) are everywhere! The homes along the boardwalk were striking in appearance with their vivid colors and interesting roof designs. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the walk along the lighthouse and boardwalk before they get busy with all the tourist activity this summer.
